Indonesian hand woven wall plates

Wall plates have become a common element of interior decoration in Indonesia, especially in Bali, where they are handcrafted from Rattan or a mixture of abaca and Macrame. Generally adorned with colorful patterns and embossed details, they are refined and quickly established themselves as a trendy and chic decorative object around the world.

Mmaterials used:

- Abaca is a vegetable fiber produced from the leaves of the Musa textilis plant, which is native to the Philippines. This plant is also known as the Manila hemp plant, and is grown primarily for its fiber, which is used in the production of ropes, fabrics, paper, and decorative products. Abaca is a very strong and durable natural fiber. It is also appreciated for its soft and silky texture, and is often used to make decorative products, handbags or fashion accessories.

- Rattan is a vegetable fiber produced from the bark of certain trees of the Palmaceae family, in particular Calamus rattan and Laccosperma rattan. Rattan fiber is highly valued for its flexibility and strength.
