Indonesian furniture
Bali and Indonesian furniture, in solid teak.
The style of Bali, the rigour of Java. Our Indonesian furniture is shaped by hand in our workshops in Java, in solid teak, and comes with no middleman to our showroom on the Arcachon Bay.
Bali for the style, Java for the wood
“Bali furniture” describes a style more than a place of origin: solid wood, simple lines, the material left visible, a home open to the outdoors. Teak itself is worked in Java, the neighbouring island, where our workshops are. Our pieces keep that character without the folklore: no decorative carving, no wood stained to look exotic, just solid teak shaped by hand in small series.
Solid teak, not “exotic wood”
Every piece starts with grade A solid teak, taken from the heart of the tree, where the wood is densest and richest in natural oils. That is what makes it rot-proof and lets it live outdoors, in the rain or by the sea. Some ranges are made of reclaimed teak, recovered from old buildings, and the woven seats are in Olefin rope, which shrugs off water and sun. The details are on the Materials page, and how we work on the Craftsmanship page.
Straight from the workshop, no wholesaler
Balinaisa is a French maison working directly with its Indonesian craftsmen: no importer, no buying office between the workshop and you. That is what makes made-to-measure possible, a size, a finish, a seat, and fair prices for solid teak. Hotels, restaurants, architects and interior designers have their own terms and support in the trade area.
What we make
At the table, dining tables, chairs and bar stools. In the living room, lounge chairs, coffee tables, sideboards and consoles. Outdoors, outdoor lounge sets, sun loungers and daybeds and hanging chairs. On walls and ceilings, mirrors, rattan lighting and wall décor. The whole range is on the Collection page.
See them before you choose
Our Indonesian furniture is on display at the showroom in La Teste-de-Buch, on the Arcachon Bay. From home, Balinaisa.ai places it in a photo of your room. We deliver across France, Europe and internationally: lead times and costs on the Delivery and terms page.
Is your furniture from Bali?
It is shaped by hand in Java, the island next to Bali, in the Indonesian workshops we work with directly. The style is the one people associate with Bali: solid wood, simple lines, the material left visible.
Which wood do you use?
Grade A solid teak, taken from the heart of the tree, and reclaimed teak for some ranges. Teak is naturally rot-proof: most of our furniture works as well indoors as outdoors.
Do you sell to the trade?
Yes: hotels, restaurants, campsites, architects and interior designers, with dedicated prices and support in the trade area, and made-to-measure.
Where can I see your furniture in France?
At the showroom in La Teste-de-Buch, on the Arcachon Bay, or at home in a picture with Balinaisa.ai. We deliver throughout France.
