A chevron of ecru rope, armrests in a single gesture.

Sumba raises a tall, rounded back, woven in wide ecru rope in a crossed chevron. The seat, woven too, needs no cushion; only a small sand lumbar cushion rests against the back. The carved armrests run in one piece down to the tapered legs, in light teak. To place indoors or outdoors.

Yes, Sumba is made for indoors and outdoors alike. Teak is naturally rot-resistant: it stands up to rain, damp and sea spray.

How do I care for Sumba?

Left untreated, teak weathers to a silver-grey patina; fed with a suitable oil, it keeps its golden tone. Fine surface cracks may appear: they are the sign of a solid wood that breathes. Olefin rope is solution-dyed and resists UV and water: a rinse with clean water is enough. Care instructions

How long does delivery of Sumba take?

In stock, the piece ships within 48 hours of payment: allow about 8 days in Gironde and 15 days in mainland France. Made to order or bespoke, it generally takes 16 weeks; the exact lead time is on the quote. Delivery and terms

Is Sumba available made to measure?

On quote: a size, a finish, a rope or fabric colour. Bespoke pieces are shaped by hand in Java; allow generally 16 weeks.
